Danny,
Nick Cummings and I are editing a book called,
Psychology's War on Religion. We want to talk about
how organized psychology can at times make it
difficult for the religious (sometimes pathologizing
faith, sometimes coming out in support of what the
religious thinks is wrong, sometimes an open prejudice
viewing the religious as not very bright, etc.). We
think that psychology despite its emphasis on being
"sensitive" has forgotten to be sensitive to this
group.
We want someone to write on Judaism and Psychology's
War on Religion. Probably someone who is orthodox
would find the chapter easiest to write. We have tried
to find someone without much luck. Can you make a
suggestion?
Thanks,
Bill
